Beto Caletti performed at festivals in Argentina, Brazil, Mexico, Canada, Spain, Switzerland, Uruguay, England, Belgium, Colombia, Italy, Cuba and Japan as a guitarist, singer and composer. He recorded eight cd’s as a soloist that were published in Argentina, Mexico and Japan. He was nominated for the “Gardel Award” and won the “ACE Award” and “Disco de oro” (Japan 2005).
In his latest project he combines latin rhythms with rhythms from Argentina and Uruguay. His compositions include musical genres like chacarera, zamba, bolero and candombe.
The CD “Dios tiempo” features such highly renowned musicians as Franco Luciani and Rubén Rada.
Born in Buenos Aires, he was a member of “Los musiqueros” for 15 years; with them he recorded 3 CDs as a performer and composer. He devoted himself to the research, composition and interpretation of brazilian popular music, and as such he played on stages of three continents and published two books. He composed and recorded the songs for the first season of the award-winning TV show “La asombrosa excursión de Zamba”, “Encuentro” channel, Buenos Aires (watch videos).
