Beto Caletti performed at festivals in Asia, Europe, América and Africa as a guitarist, singer and composer. He recorded ten cd’s as a soloist that were published in Argentina, Mexico and Japan. He was nominated for the “Gardel Award” and won the “ACE Award” and “Disco de oro” (Japan 2005).
His latest solo work, “El convite,” consists of ten original compositions based on Brazilian root styles.
He released three albums with the Philippine singer Mishka Adams. The album MABUHAY features the participation of Dori Caymmi, Hugo Fattoruso, Juan Quintero and musicians from Japan, Germany, United Kingdom and the Philippines.
Born in Buenos Aires, he was a member of “Los musiqueros” for 15 years; with them he recorded 3 CDs as a performer and composer. He devoted himself to the research, composition and interpretation of brazilian popular music, and as such he played on stages of three continents and published two books. He composed and recorded the songs for the first season of the award-winning TV show “La asombrosa excursión de Zamba”, “Encuentro” channel, Buenos Aires (watch videos).
